Singapore's postal codes
Since 1995, Singapore's postal codes have been composed of six digits, replacing the previous four-digit system that had been in place since 1979. Singapore Post is in charge of administering them.
postal code with six digits
The postal code is made up of two parts: the sector code and the delivery location. The postal code is six characters long. Typically, the first two numbers of the postal code are used to denote the sector. The remaining four digits identify the location of the distribution point within the industry.
In the example above,
53 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3
Where 56 is the sector code and 9933 is the delivery point, which is a residence or a building.
