Apulia, also known as Puglia in Italian, is a region of Italy. It is in the southern part of the country, near the Adriatic Sea to the east, the Ionian Sea to the southeast, and the Strait of Otranto and Gulf of Taranto to the south. The area is 19,345 square kilometres, and it has a population of about four million people.
You can find Molise to the north and Campania and Basilicata to the west and southwest of it in other parts of Italy. They call it "Bari."
