PIedmont is a region of Italy in the north. It is one of the 20 regions of the country. Liguria and the Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna regions to the south, Lombardy and the Emilia-Romagna region to the east, and Aosta Valley to the northwest. Switzerland to the northeast and France to the west. There are 4,269,714 people living there as of January 31, 2021.
