Molise Italy Postal Code

About Molise

Molise is a region of Italy in the southern part of the country. Before 1963, it was part of the region of Abruzzi e Molise, along with the region of Abruzzo, which was also part of the region. When the split happened, it didn't take effect until 1970. Molise is the new region in Italy. Over 4,438 square kilometres (1,714 square miles), the region is Italy's second smallest. It has 316,348 people, making it the country's third most populous region (as of 1 January 2015).

Campobasso and Isernia are the capitals of the two provinces in the region, and they are both named after them. Campobasso is also the capital of the area.
