Vayq Postal code

There is a town called Vayk in the Vayots Dzor Province in southern Armenia. It is the centre of the Vayk Municipality, which is made up of a lot of small towns. Officially, Vayk had about 4,700 people living there in 2016. In 2011, however, there were 5,877 people in the town, down from 6,024 people in 2001. The name Vayk means "sorrows." It comes from the Vayots Dzor canton of the historic Armenian province of Syunik.
